the people behind the bubbles

Small team. Big ocean. Endless patience.

International instructors and an experienced local crew who know these reefs like their own back garden.

Our story

Ayala Bubbles was built by people who would rather be underwater than anywhere else. We deliberately stayed small: a tight team of professional, internationally certified SSI instructors working alongside a Maldivian crew born and raised on these atolls. The instructors make you a better, safer diver; the local crew make sure you're on the right reef, at the right tide, at the right moment.

What we promise

  • Time — we don't rush briefings, skills or surface intervals.
  • Attention — small groups mean we learn your name and your comfort level.
  • Honesty — we choose the dive site with you each day, never a fixed schedule.
  • Care for the ocean — we dive as guests in someone else's home.

Leadership

Ahmed Sanaau — Founder & Lead (‹confirm spelling/title/photo — GAPS G8›) With 15+ years guiding and teaching divers across the Maldives, Sanaau leads Ayala Bubbles on a simple belief: the best dives happen in small groups, on quiet reefs, with people who genuinely care. Praised by name again and again in guest reviews.

The crew

  • International SSI instructors — multilingual, globally experienced educators teaching Basic Diver through Divemaster. ‹add names, certifications, languages, photos›
  • Local Maldivian boat crew — seasoned captains and guides with intimate knowledge of South Malé's tides, channels and cleaning stations.
  • Conservation partners — citizen scientists with the Olive Ridley Project; we report manta and shark sightings to support Maldivian marine research.
★★★★★ "A very knowledgeable, fun team. Khaleel, Shanaan, Rishwan, Firushan — thank you all individually." — Ozan G., Istanbul
